Register
If you are registering a team, it is preferable to have the names and e-mails of your teammates at the time of registration.
If you don't have all the names of your team members, enter the name to come and your e-mail address. You have until September 27 to send in the missing names. The YMA will contact you to confirm your team's registration to the captain, and he/she will be the primary contact for all correspondence to the rest of the team. A waiver must be signed by each team member in order to play.
SCORING
Each player will be required to submit a score.
We use the Peterson points system. Here's an example of how this points system works:
- If the event has 10 teams
- Teams play up to 3 games
In the first game, the team with the highest team score (e.g. 1300 pins) wins 10 points, the team with the second-highest score wins 9 points, and so on down to the team with the lowest score, which wins 1 point.
The same calculation process is repeated for each game and for the total of the 3 games, i.e. the team with a total of 1100 for the first game, 1050 for the second and 1025 for the third obtains a grand total of 3175. This total gives a certain number of points on our scale of 1 to 10, depending on each team's totals.
What's more, for each game and for the total of the three games, the two teams competing on the same pair of lanes play for 2 points. The winning team automatically receives the 2 points plus points on a scale of 1 to 10.
In the event of a tie, a draw will be held to determine the winning team.
YMA reserves the right to make changes during the organization of the event, given that it is a first edition.
