CONTEXT
Further to the first Town Hall Forum last December, The YMA invites the children and youth media community for a second Canada-wide town hall to be presented virtually in English and in French, to continue the dialogue on current issues.
The YMA believes we should continue contributing to the conversation. As an organization, we represent the interests of our young audience as well as every member of the creative community.
We invite our members and people from the industry to continue sharing the issues you are facing during this virtual gathering; recap all that has been done recently, share updates on different consultations and actions taken, AND what is the funding landscape now, and moving forward what is next.
The YMA is here to represent the need for high-quality, age appropriate, children’s content created, produced and presented by Canadians. It wishes to remind everyone of the unique needs and interests of children and children’s media.
Objectives:
- Continue the dialogue on issues and concerns faced by the broader youth media community.
- Inform Canadian producers of the many new certified production funding available through different organizations such as SRF, CMF-FMC, SODEC ISO, BSO, DSO, , Telus, Fond Québecor (TBC)

- Recap all that has been done recently,
