Montreal, November 5, 2024 – YMA is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Board of Directors, including three new Directors and a new Co-Chair, Maria Kennedy of Little Engine Moving Pictures, who joins Athenas Georgaklis, Independent Producer, Co-Chair since 2023.

Maria Kennedy (she/her) is owner, executive producer and co-founder of Little Engine Moving Pictures. She oversees all commercial aspects of the creative properties, including the company's development, production and distribution divisions. Maria has established and maintains strong partnerships with Canadian broadcasters and national funding agencies. She has produced television series, feature films, commercials, branded content, as well as websites and interactive games. Her first series, Now You Know, was licensed in over 100 territories worldwide. Maria fosters mentorship for emerging creators and producers of different genders and cultures, is a strong supporter of gender, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ equity in the workplace, and encourages dialogue between creators, animators, newcomers and media industry veterans.

The new board elected today welcomes three new members in Dan Mokryi of Spinmaster, Daniel Coutu of Prestigo Media, and Steve Couture of Epic Storyworlds for three-year terms, joining the other board members listed below :
