Montreal, September 9, 2024 - The Youth Media Alliance is pleased to announce the appointment of Valentin Verrier to the newly created position of Director, Events, Communications and Development within the organization.

Passionate about culture and events revolving around the film and television industries, Valentin co-founded the short-film distribution organization Welcome Aboard and the Montreal International Short Films and Series Festival - Courts d'un soir before heading up the last two editions of Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma. He also lends his strengths and skills to non-profit organizations such as the Knowlton Film Festival, where he sits on the Board of Directors.

Drawing on his entrepreneurial experience in the world of cultural NPOs, his skills in managing large-scale events, and his keen eye for communications strategies and technologies, Valentin will help consolidate The YMA's presence on the national and international scene, while supporting Canadian creators in a constantly evolving sector.
