The Youth Media Alliance joins efforts to ensure children content is considered in the CRTC Consultation on The Path Forward - Defining 'Canadian Program' and supporting the creation and distribution of Canadian programming in the audio-visual sector.

Deadline to submit is Monday, January 20, 2025 at 6pm ET.

The YMA has joined efforts with CMPA and invites producers and broadcasters, YMA members or non-members to use the attached material to submit to the CRTC. 

It is VERY important that YMA/CMPA members use the one with the section that defers to the CMPA submission at the end of the letter.  

Please note the following:

Copy the template onto company letterhead and save as a PDF.   Filings should be submitted in PDF format.  

Name the file: Company Name Intervention CRTC 2024-288

The italicized words in each template are for each producer to customize based on their business.

The producer can choose which stats from the Profile to include in their letter.  .

This is a proposed template.  Producers can choose to edit as they see fit (except the CMPA member section).

Also attached instructions on how to submit including the direct link on the CRTC website, and also attach an example of the Intervention Comment Form so you know what to expect when you submit.
