Montreal, January 23, 2024 — The Youth Media Alliance (YMA) is pleased to announce that Judith Beauregard, Tobo Studio producer and partner, will chair the 2024 YMA Prix d’Excellence Jury. The Prix d’Excellence honors Canada’s best youth programming productions-French Language.
This year, the gala night will be a special one. It will be held on May 22nd beginning with a cocktail held simultaneously in Toronto and in Montreal to celebrate the YMA 50th Anniversary paying tribute to key people who have contributed to the advancement of the YMA over the years, and then the regular awards gala will follow in Montreal only with the distribution of prizes.
With over 20 years' experience in children's production, Judith Beauregard combines digital and audiovisual skills to produce interactive projects and immersive experiences, as well as series and animated films. Her productions have won numerous awards, both locally and internationally. Her expertise is regularly put to good use at events and conferences (Kidscreen Summit, SXSW, MIPjunior, Rocket Forum, Média-Jeunes). She has been occasionally called upon to sit on juries for international awards such as the Japan Prize. As co-founder of Tobo, Judith is dedicated to creating intelligent, inspiring, and engaging engaging entertainment for young people.
The nominees for the 2024 YMA Prix d’Excellence will be announced at the end of March.
