The YMA is pleased to announce that it has submitted a brief to the CRTC Consultation 2024-288.

Montreal, January 20, 2025 - The YMA is pleased to announce that it has submitted a brief to the CRTC Consultation on The Path Forward - Defining 'Canadian Program' and supporting the creation and distribution of Canadian programming in the audio-visual sector.

The YMA has joined efforts with CMPA and invites producers and broadcasters to submit to the CRTC

The Youth Media Alliance joins efforts to ensure children content is considered in the CRTC Consultation on The Path Forward - Defining 'Canadian Program' and supporting the creation and distribution of Canadian programming in the audio-visual sector.

Deadline to submit is Monday, January 20, 2025 at 6pm ET.

The YMA has joined efforts with CMPA and invites producers and broadcasters, YMA members or non-members to use the attached material to submit to the CRTC.

YMA submitted a brief on behalf of the Ministry as part of consultations by the Groupe de travail sur l'avenir de l'audiovisuel au Québec, and presented an outline on January 15.

YMA invites the industry to its Town Hall Forum

Montreal, November 27, 2024 - YMA invites the youth media community to a cross-Canada forum, presented virtually in English and French, to discuss the realities and challenges we face, on December 12, 2024 from 2 to 4 p.m. and/or to submit a discussion paper by December 10, 2024.

YMA will be pleased to present its Youth Media Conference on November 5 and 6, 2024 in Montreal - a one-day conference followed by a one-day screening of the Prix Jeunesse International.

Alongside the conference's impressive list of speakers, panelists and moderators, the winner of the YMA 2025 Andra Sheffer Scholarship will be announced, the YMA AGM will take place and Board members will be elected, and finally the YMA Prix Jeunesse will be presented, including the Prix Jeunesse 2024 from Munich.

Annually, the YMA gathers all the best and most innovative programme entries from the latest PRIX JEUNESSE INTERNATIONAL festival happening every second year in Munich.

The YMA Prix Jeunesse is meant to be a training tool that carries the festival’s creative and challenging atmosphere worldwide. It includes, on the given year that the international event occurs, the screening of the Prix Jeunesse International winners within the programming of the YMA Children & Youth Conference, and on the hiatus year of the international event, all videos are made available on the YMA Media Gallery.

This is a unique opportunity to see content from around the world that you won’t find anywhere else.
